LUCANYL
LUCANYL, the ultimate polyurethane elastomer for extreme dynamic loads and high temperatures!
LUCANYL is a polyurethane elastomer originally developed by LUC in the 1980’s in order to achieve the highest possible dynamic load-bearing capacity, in combination with the highest possible temperature resistance. The newest LUCANYL generation is the best possible material for high-speed applications, with a low rolling resistance and low heat build-up, in combination with low wear and high bonding strengths. Due to these characteristics LUCANYL is the preferred material for high-end roller coaster wheels and LUCANYL-HT for many roller and wheel coverings used at high temperatures.

LUCANYL-HT
The highest possible temperature resistance, for continuous temperatures up to 160°C and peak temperatures up to 190°C (and sometimes beyond). Available from 70 Shore A to 60 Shore D.
LUCANYL-HB
A similar temperature resistance as LUCANYL-HT, but with an increased chemical resistance against acids and lye’s. Available from 80 to 95 Shore A.
A number of LUCANYL grades can be supplied with antistatic properties (AS) and/or with an anti-adhesive (non-sticking) surface (NK), as a substitute for silicon and PTFE materials.
