Supervisor Sales & Work Preparation

As Supervisor Sales & Work Preparation, you are responsible for leading and coordinating the Sales & Work Preparation Engineering team. You oversee an efficient and high-quality quotation and order process, ensuring proper project preparation for production.

You act as a vital link between Sales, Engineering and Production, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal departments.

  • Lead and coach the Sales & Work Preparation team.
  • Coordinate and prioritize quotations, orders, subcontracting and projects.
  • Ensure accurate and timely management of articles, BOMs and cost calculations.
  • Safeguard manufacturability and translation of customer requirements into production-ready solutions.
  • Maintain communication with suppliers and internal departments.
  • Monitor delivery times, quality and costs in cooperation with production and purchasing.
  • Initiate and implement process improvements within the department.
  • Prepare reports and provide feedback to the Vice President Sales & Business Development.
  • Mentor and train new team members, supporting knowledge transfer and personal development.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in a similar technical, coordinating or supervisory role.
  • Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks / Inventor).
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP).
  • Commercial awareness and experience in customer contact and procurement.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English; knowledge of German is a plus.

 Sales & Work Preparation Engineer

As a Sales & Work Preparation Engineer, you are responsible for providing technical and administrative support to the Sales team during the quotation and order process. You also prepare projects for production, combining strong technical expertise with commercial insight.

Your role includes evaluating customer drawings, determining manufacturability, preparing cost estimates and quotations, managing order-related purchasing, and maintaining supplier relationships. Occasional drawing work may also be part of the job.

  • Interpret customer drawings and assess feasibility.
  • Prepare cost estimates and quotations in SAP.
  • Request and compare prices from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Order project-related parts and monitor delivery times.
  • Create and manage articles, bills of materials, and sales orders in SAP.
  • Maintain contact with suppliers and seek new sourcing opportunities.
  • Lead projects resulting from sales orders.
  • Perform (limited) drawing work using SolidWorks or Inventor.
  • MBO/HBO degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical field.

R&D Engineer

The R&D Engineer is responsible for carrying out various R&D projects for the development of new materials and processes and optimizing existing materials and processes. The scope of work also includes application research, qualification tests and general technical support for customer projects.

Experienced in R&D projects, including literature research, experimental work, data analysis, and reporting. Skilled in supporting production by solving process issues and improving manufacturing efficiency. Responsible for supplier communication and sourcing new materials. Provide technical support to sales teams, conducting customer-specific research and qualification tests.

-Ir./MSc in Chemical Engineering (Technical University).
-Specific knowledge: thorough chemical and material knowledge, able and willing to learn specific PU knowledge, laboratory skills, reporting and presentation skills, analytical mind and problem-solving competences, project management.
